Administrative Division

The Administrative Division is the "organizational department" of the Police Department.

Roles & Responsibilities

Comprised of the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of Police, Lieutenant and two office assistants, the Administrative Division is responsible for a wide range of duties including many of the "behind the scenes" functions that are necessary to keep the department running.

Duties

Duties include handling:

  • Approval and Recording of All Departmental Reports and Citations
  • Budgets
  • Computer Systems
  • Grant Writing
  • Purchasing

Police Report Copies

To obtain a copy of any police report please contact the Administrative Division at 252-441-6386 during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Please allow five business days for processing of a report before requesting a copy. There is a five dollar charge to obtain a copy of any report from the Nags Head Police Department.
