YARD SALE PERMIT APPLICATION

  1. Location:                    The yard sale must be conducted on residential property owned by the applicant.

    Frequency:                 A homeowner is limited to three (3) days of sales in a twelve (12) month period.

    Hours:                          The yard sale will be allowed to take place only between the hours of   8:00am and 6:00pm. 

    Signs:                            ONLY ONE (1) SIGN is allowed, no greater than ten (10) square feet in area which must be located on the site for the purpose of advertising the yard sale.  Signs directing the way to the yard sale may not exceed two (2) square feet in area and shall not be placed in a public right-of-way.

    Parking:                        No less than ten (10) off-street parking spaces must be provided on the yard sale site or within 400 feet of the site.  (See illustration below).

    Location of  Articles:  The articles offered for sale must be displayed no closer than fifteen (15) feet from the right-of-way. (See illustration below).

    Clean Up:                     At the close of each sale day, the sign and any accumulation of trash or debris must be removed.
