Sick Leave

Employees earn twelve sick days per year.

Longevity Pay

after 5 years of service
  • 5-9 yrs - $500.00
  • 10-14 yrs - $1,000.00
  • 15-19 yrs - $1,500.00
  • 20-24 yrs - $2,000.00
  • 25 plus yrs - $2,500.00

401K and the NC Local Government Employees Retirement System

  • 401K:  5% employer contribution for all employees, no match required
  • North Carolina Retirement System: employer contribution 14.39%; employee contribution 6% (Law Enforcement Officers receive a 16.08% employer contribution)
