Dowdy Park Summer Market
The Dowdy Park Summer Market runs from mid-June through mid-August.
To maintain a high-quality experience for both vendors and attendees, the Summer Market is intentionally capped at approximately 50 vendors per market. Market dates and overall capacity are influenced by the local school calendar, as the market has grown to a size that requires use of the adjacent school parking lot.
Summer Market Vendor Process
The Summer Market vendor application process occurs in several stages:
Returning Vendors
In February, vendors who participated in the previous Summer Market season are contacted. This allows Town staff to determine how many vendor spaces may be available for new applicants.
New Vendor Applications
Once availability is determined, application information is typically posted in late March to mid-April on the following platforms:
Summer Market applications are usually open for a short window of approximately 2–4 days.
Selection Process
After the application period closes, all submissions are reviewed. The Arts & Cultural Committee selects new vendors based on available space and overall market needs.

Market Vendor Payments
Make online payments for Dowdy Park Summer Farmers Market membership fees and Dowdy Park Holiday Farmers Market fees on our General Billing Website. You will need your invoice/bill number from your bill in order to find and pay your invoice from the Town of Nags Head.
