As the holiday season approaches, the Dowdy Park Holiday Markets are gearing up to offer a unique shopping experience in Nags Head. We’re excited to welcome vendors and shoppers alike to our series of festive markets. Below, you'll find important updates and guidelines for this year’s events, including new market rules, application details, and the selection process.

Holiday Market Dates
- Saturday | November 9 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Saturday | November 30 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Thursday | December 5 | 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Saturday | December 14 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Notes
- The market rules have changed regarding the required percentage of handmade or handcrafted items and the geographic radius for vendors producing handcrafts, original artwork, and perishables.
- You will need to provide your NC sales tax number.
- No pictures will be required for the application submission.
Application Details
- The application link will be available online on our Facebook page for a limited window: Wednesday, October 16 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. After 10 a.m. the application will no longer be accessible.
- All applications will be time-stamped upon submission.
- We will accept 50 vendors. Acceptance emails will be sent by Monday, October 28.
- Admission will be a $25 non-refundable fee per market. No payment is required at the time of submission. An invoice will be sent via email by Friday, November 1 and payment needs to be received by Wednesday, November 6.
- If you do not have access to a computer, you can pick up an application at Town Hall, 5401 South Croatan Highway. When you return it on October 16 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., it will be time stamped. Applications will not be accepted after 10 a.m.
Selection Process
- After the application period closes, we will review all submissions and remove any that do not meet the updated market rules.
- Preference will be given to vendors who commit to attending all four holiday markets. Please note that committing to all four markets is taken seriously. Once you have made a commitment and have been invoiced, you are expected to pay your fee.
- If you commit and fail to attend, it may affect your eligibility for future Dowdy Park markets. Additionally, missing a market you’ve committed to could prevent another vendor from participating.
- After selecting vendors who meet the rule criteria and commit to all four markets, any remaining spots will be filled based on the time stamp of each application.
