The North Carolina Department of Transportation South Croatan Highway paving project has been paused. We'll let you know when it restarts.
A contractor for the North Carolina Department of Transportation is resuming their South Croatan Highway paving project in Nags Head.
Starting Monday, September 25, 2023, the contractor will be milling the side streets along South Croatan Highway from Hollowell Street north to Eighth Street. The plan is for street paving to begin Monday, October 2.
Be prepared for outside lane closures on South Croatan Highway from Hollowell Street north to Eighth Street over the next week.
Motorists must exercise caution when traveling in the active construction area. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while construction is ongoing.
