On July 15, 2025 at 7 p.m., the Town of Nags Head will premiere it's new short film, Service and Heroism: The Nags Head Ocean Rescue Story, showcasing the dedication and bravery of Nags Head's Ocean Rescue team. Created through a collaboration with CurrentTV, this powerful piece will offer an inside look at the squad's intense training, daily responsibilities, and steadfast commitment to protecting beachgoers. Through personal interviews and striking stories, the documentary will honor the professionalism and heroism of these first responders.
A panel discussion and question and answer session will be held following the screening. Regional and local ocean-rescue leaders, along with several of the film’s interviewees, will be on hand.
