[ARCHIVED] Sanitation Cart Rollout Service for SVDT and SOOIR May 1 - October 31

Cart Rollout Service May 1 - October 31

From May 1 through October 31 each year properties with driveways on South Virginia Dare Trail and South Old Oregon Inlet Road can participate in a sanitation cart rollout service.

From May through October, a Town of Nags Head contractor, Trash Detail, will move a property’s sanitation carts from the home to the streetside the afternoon before collection and return them to the home after collection. Since the collection is twice per week, the contractor will be visiting each property four times a week for the six-month service period.

Note that outside of the May 1 to October 31 timeframe, carts will not be managed by the Town's contractor; therefore, cart management will again be the responsibility of the homeowner, renter, or rental management company. During this time, our staff will move carts back from the right-of-way; however, they do not return them to the home.

We have placed blue stickers on the carts in the program. If you notice that any of your carts do not have a sticker, or if your property is new to the program and needs a sticker, please contact Public Services at 252-441-1122 and we will arrange for a sticker to be placed on your cart(s).
