Public Services Complex Grand Opening June 5 at 12:30 pm

The grand opening of our new Public Services Complex will take place at 12:30 pm Wednesday,  June 5 at 2203 South Lark Avenue (turn west onto Eighth Street at the ABC store and then take a left onto Lark). This project has been a multi-year journey; we can't wait to celebrate with you all!

See you there!

Loggerhead Beach Access Now Open

Great news! The Loggerhead public beach access in the 4800 block of South Virginia Dare Trail has reopened after extensive renovations! Be sure to stop by and check out the improved amenities.

Estuarine Access Now Open

In addition to the Loggerhead beach access, last week we opened the newly completed estuarine access pier on the US 64 causeway.

Our new elevated 160’ long walkway, complete with attached finger piers and a gazebo, is ready for your visit. The walkway replaces a 28-year-old structure that had seen better days, ensuring safety and accessibility for everyone. Thanks to the support of a Water Resources Development Grant from the NC Department of Environmental Quality, this project became a reality.

Now, with ADA accessible walkways, we're happy to offer more diversified recreational opportunities for all to enjoy.

New Payment Site Nags Head, NC

Exciting news for Nags Head property owners and residents! We've upgraded our online payment platform from Citizen Self Service to the new Resident and Utility Access, making your payment experience smoother and more convenient than ever.

The revamped website navigator now offers multiple payment options, allowing you to pay for various items in one easy-to-use location: Nags Head Payment Navigator.

With this sleek, modern interface, you can view and pay bills in real time for services like real estate taxes, water bills, business licenses, planning permits, Dowdy Park vendor billing, and more. Whether you're a guest or a registered user, managing your accounts has never been simpler. For detailed views of your water bills and usage history, creating an account is required.

To make payments, there's a 3.95% credit card processing fee (minimum $2.50), while e-checks have a flat convenience fee of $1.95. Please note that beach pit fire and beach driving permit payment websites and their convenience fees remain unchanged.

Prefer to pay by phone? Call 800-272-9829, use jurisdiction code 4318, and have your account number ready. For any questions, reach out to our cashiering team at cashier@nagsheadnc.gov or 252-441-5508.

We're committed to enhancing your customer service experience, and we hope you enjoy the new, user-friendly Resident and Utility Access platform!

Plastic containers like this are called clamshells. They're often marked with SPI codes 1 or 2 but are not accepted in curbside recycling because the material is too thin to process. Plastic bottles and jugs only, please!
