Blue Cart Recycling Collection Starts March 15

Blue Recycling Cart Collection Starts March 15

As you may already know, TFC Recycling will be providing a subscription-based curbside recycling service to Nags Head homeowners for $9/month with a goal of starting the service May 1, 2021.

Those interested in the service are being asked to provide contact information on Nags Head’s web site at nagsheadnc.gov/recycling. TFC Recycling will then contact those on the list to set up an account.

Now that TFC Recycling is offering the curbside recycling service and to limit confusion on how carts may be used, we will be collecting the blue recycling carts from each residence and reissuing them to those households subscribing with TFC. Our goal is for only those properties in the subscription program to retain their recycling carts.

Phase 1 - Starts March 15, 2021
Properties on South Virginia Dare Trail from Eighth Street south to Gulfstream Street
Monitor this page for information regarding the schedule for the collection of carts in the remaining areas of town.

Carts in the area noted above should be placed by the road on the day of trash service and left there until staff collects them.

Monitor cart collection progress on our web site.

This week is severe weather preparedness week in North Carolina. Did you know flood related deaths are more common than those from a tornado? Most of these deaths occur in vehicles. NEVER cross a flooded road. Turn around, don’t drown.
