Come out and participate in the 38th Annual National Night Out at Dowdy Park! This is our opportunity each year to promote police-community partnerships and engage with the public. National Night Out helps to bring back a sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring law enforcement and neighbors together under positive circumstances. We will have bounce house, a dunking booth (yes, you read that correctly!), a seatbelt simulator and other various vendors and kids activities. The police department will also be providing food for the event. We hope to see you all there!

Recycling is an important part of creating a circular economy, but the first two steps are equally important. Reduce waste by precycling while you shop. Precycling is the practice of reducing consumer waste by buying unpackaged, reusable, or recyclable products. Like, choosing a paper egg carton over a Styrofoam. Paper egg cartons are reusable, recyclable, and compostable. Styrofoam can not be recycled and is not biodegradable making it dangerous to wildlife and adding to the growing issues of unsustainable waste production. Small choices like this add up to a big positive impact when we all work together! Credit Hampton Clean City Commission
TFC Recycling provides a $9/month subscription-based curbside recycling service to Nags Head homeowners. *Note that TFC is requiring a two year contract for the service. You can drop off your recyclables 24/7/365 at either Nags Head's Town Hall or at our Public Works facility (2200 Lark Avenue).
