Volunteer Fire Staff

While the Town employs a full-time fire and rescue career staff, there is still a crucial need for volunteer personnel. The Nags Head Fire Department relies on the important contributions of our volunteer staff to provide emergency response and public education to our community. The work is rewarding - you can see firsthand your accomplishments, and our citizens and visitors are grateful for your help.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a medical exam including a drug test
  • Must pass a background investigation
